The PADI Rescue Diver course is an essential step in expanding the knowledge and experience of an advanced diver. During the course, the skills of actions in emergency situations and methods of preventing such situations are practiced. The tasks will require some effort, but becoming a rescue diver will give you confidence in your abilities.
The course lasts 2 days. Theoretical part: independent study of the textbook, watching a video, performing tests and analyzing them with a PADI instructor, solving the final exam. Practical part: practicing 10 rescue and self-rescue skills in the pool, and then scenarios in open water. Developing an emergency plan and executing rescue scenarios.
The PADI Rescue Diver course is not easy, but interesting and extremely useful for the advanced diver. If you are aiming to achieve the highest level of recreational diving or to become a PADI Professional, this course is a must be.
Prerequisites for starting a course:
not less than 12 years old;
PADI (Junior) Adventures in Diving or a similar license from another diving licensing organization - a dive for the purpose of underwater navigation must be performed;
EFR Primary & Secondary Care certification completed within the last 24 months or another valid medical license. The EFR Primary & Secondary Care course takes 1 day. Your instructor can guide you through this before the start of the Rescue Diver course;
No medical contraindications.
Congratulations, you have successfully completed the course! What does it give you:

Children aged 12 to 14 receive a PADI Junior Rescue Diver license.
