Have you started your studies at home, but there is no way to go through open water and get a long-awaited certificate? Do not be discouraged, this can be done while already on vacation. Phuket is one of the most comfortable places to study. Shallow sandy coves without currents and the warm water of the Andaman Sea are ideal for completing a PADI OWD course.
As a rule, when starting a course in another dive center, students go through all the classes in the pool, study the theory and take the final exam. The beginner instructor fills out a special referral form indicating all the standards you have met. Remember that in order to continue training, you must provide the original of this form with the seal of the dive center and the signature of the instructor! This form is valid for 12 months from the last training session.
An on-going instructor will assess your skills and theoretical knowledge. If necessary, he will fill in the missing material, remind about the behavior in the water and the technique of performing skills.
To complete the course, you will do 4 open water dives under the direct supervision of an instructor. During the dives, you will practice some of the skills that you did in the pool.
Prerequisites for enrollment in the course:
not less than 10 years old;
no medical contraindications;
availability of an appropriately completed referral form, issued for no more than 12 months, from the moment of the last training session.
Congratulations, you have successfully completed the course! What does it give you:
You receive an international PADI Open Water diving license-certification card
Children aged 10 to 14 receive a PADI Junior Open Water diving license.
Have the right to plan and execute dives to a depth of no more than 18 meters paired with a partner of your level or more
Children aged 10-11 years to a depth of no more than 12 meters.
(Children between the ages of 10 and 14 must dive with an adult certified diver!)
